Ba linh mục “yêu nước” của Việt Nam ứng cử vào quốc hội

Dù hai người trong số này đă là dân biểu Quốc Hội , nhưng người thứ ba mới là người đáng nói, đó là Phan Khắc Từ, người đứng đầu một tờ báo nổi tiếng v́ những lời chỉ trích dành cho Đức Gioan Phao Lô II và Ṭa thánh Vatican, người được cho là cha của hai đứa con và là người vẫn tự hào về việc thiết lập một xưởng sản xuất bom ngay trong nhà thờ vào thời chiến.[/B]
Hà Nội (AsiaNews 29/4/2011) - Tin cho biết sẽ có ba linh mục đứng tên trong cuộc bầu cử Quốc hội Việt Nam, dự kiến sẽ được tiến hành vào ngày 22 tháng 5 sắp tới. Mặc dù hai người (trong số này) đă là thành viên của Quốc Hội đó, về mặt lư thuyết, là một cơ quan quyền lực cao nhất của nhân dân. Tin tức về sự tham gia của họ vào cuộc bầu cử đă khơi dậy sự chỉ trích từ những người Công giáo và đă đưa ra một thắc mắc về việc phải tuân thủ các quy định của Giáo luật tại Việt Nam.

Linh mục Trần Mạnh Cường và linh mục Lê Ngọc Hoàn, thuộc các giáo phận Bùi Chu và Ban Mê Thuột vẫn là đại biểu quốc hội, trong khi Linh mục Phan Khắc Từ (ảnh đính kèm trên), thuộc tổng giáo phận Sài G̣n, được nhà nước tiếp tục đưa ra ứng cử. (Linh mục Phan Khắc Từ trước đó đă là đại biểu quốc hội khóa 8, 9, 10 – NVCL). Việc ông ra ứng cử đă gây ra phản ứng nhiều nhất trong dư luận.
Linh mục Từ là tổng biên tập của “Công giáo và Dân Tộc”, một tạp chí được thành lập với sự hỗ trợ của nhà cầm quyền vào năm 1975 và trở thành nổi tiếng v́ những lời chỉ trích thường xuyên nhắm vào Đức Giáo hoàng Gioan Phao lô II và ṭa thánh Vatican. Cuộc vận động tranh cử của Linh mục Từ đă tô đậm sự tham gia của ông trong chiến tranh Việt Nam, thậm chí ông c̣n tuyên bố rằng đă xây dựng một xưởng máy nhỏ bí mật để sản xuất bom cầm tay có thể được sử dụng chống lại binh sĩ Mỹ. Trong một cuộc phỏng vấn với tờ VietnamNet, một phương tiện truyền thông của nhà nước, cha Từ đă nói lên niềm tự hào của ḿnh về việc điều hành một xưởng máy bên trong một nhà thờ ở trung tâm Sài G̣n mà chính phủ miền Nam hay cả như CIA cũng không thể ngờ được.
Trả lời về bản tin này, cha Joseph Nguyễn ở Hà Nội đă nói với AsiaNews: [I]“Chớ giết người” là một giới răn của Thiên Chúa. Việc biến đền thờ của Thiên Chúa thành một xưởng chế tạo vũ khí là một sự phạm thánh nghiêm trọng . Một việc vô đạo đức và làm người ta sững sờ – không thốt nên lời”.[/I]
Tuy nhiên, khi nói đến hành động kỷ luật đối với cha Từ mà nhiều người đă đề nghị, [I]“Phải kỷ luật ông ta? Đúng vậy. Nhưng phải nghĩ thực tế: Làm thế nào và ai dám làm vậy đối với một người đầy quyền lực như thế”.[/I]
[B]Cha Từ, một đảng viên Đảng Cộng sản[/B], từ lâu đă là cha sở của giáo xứ Các Thánh Tử Đạo Việt Nam ở Vườn Xoài, một trong những xứ đạo lớn nhất tại TP Hồ Chí Minh. Ông bị cáo buộc là cha của hai đứa con với một bạn gái, người đă công khai xác nhận mối quan hệ của họ như là vợ chồng.

Nhóm linh mục này tranh căi rằng việc làm thành viên trong quốc hội đă rơi vào thể loại bị cấm đoán, v́ Quốc hội tồn tại chỉ để hợp pháp hoá quyết định của Đảng Cộng sản. “[I]Một điều rơ ràng ngay trong giáo lư Công Giáo là không bao giờ người Công Giáo thật sự có thể trở thành một người Cộng sản, hay dung túng cho chế độ cộng sản,” [/I]các linh mục đă nói thêm như thế.
Cha Chân Tín, một linh mục thuộc Ḍng Chúa Cứu Thế ở Sài G̣n, đă đ̣i hỏi ba linh mục kể trên phải lập tức rút khỏi cuộc bầu cử sắp tới nhằm “giữ thể diện cho Giáo Hội”. Cha đặt câu hỏi: [I]“Phải chăng Giáo Hội Việt Nam có Giáo Luật riêng của ḿnh hoặc có miễn trừ đặc biệt nào? Nếu không, th́ đă chẳng một linh mục nào có thể tham gia vào một cơ quan quyền lực như thế”.[/I]
Người Công giáo hiện cho là Việt Nam đang sao chép chính sách tôn giáo của Trung Quốc. Cha Từ được tin là sẽ giữ một vị trí rất cao trong Quốc hội, tương tự như Giám mục Michael Fu Tieshan của Bắc Kinh, người đă nắm chức Phó Chủ tịch Quốc hội Trung Quốc cho đến khi ông chết vào ngày 20 tháng tư năm 2007.

To make the news is the third, Phan Khac Tu, head of a newspaper known for its criticism of John Paul II and the Vatican, considered the father of two children and who boasts of having set up a bomb factory during the war inside a church. Hanoi (AsiaNews) - There will be three priests who stand in the elections for the People's Congress, the Vietnamese parliament, scheduled for May 22. Although two of them were already part of that assembly, in theory, the ultimate expression of people power, news of their participation in the vote is stirring criticism among the Catholics and raising the question of compliance with the provisions of Canon law in Vietnam.
Father Tran Manh Cuong and Father Le Ngoc Hoan, of the Diocese of Bui Chu and Ban Me Thout are already members of parliament, while Father Phan Khac Tu (pictured), from the archdiocese of Saigon, is participating for the first time in elections. His candidacy has provoked the most reaction in public opinion.
Father Tu is chief editor of Catholics and People, a magazine that was founded with government support in 1975 and became known for its frequent criticism of Pope John Paul II and the Vatican. His election campaign has highlighted Father Tu’s involvement in the Vietnam War, even claiming that he built a small secret factory to produce hand-held bombs that could be used against American soldiers. In an interview with Vietnam Net, a state-run media outlet, Father Tu voiced his pride in running such a factory inside a church in central Saigon as neither the South government nor the CIA could have suspected this.
Responding to the news, Fr. Joseph Nguyen in Hanoi told AsiaNews: “‘Thy should not kill" is a Commandment of God. Turning God’s temple into a weapon factory is a grave blasphemy. It’s immoral and unspeakable.”
However, when it comes to disciplinary actions against Fr. Tu that many have suggested; “discipline him? That’s right. But, be realistic: How and who dares to do so against such a powerful man?”.
Father Tu, a member of the Communist Party, has long been the pastor of the Vietnamese Martyrs Church of Vuon Xoai, one of the largest in Ho Chi Minh City. He is alleged to be the father of two children with a female companion who has publicly confirmed their relationship as man and wife.
In an open letter to the Vietnamese hierarchy, several priests—including Father Nguyen Van Ly, a prominent dissident who has spent almost 15 years in prison— ask the Vietnamese bishops to take disciplinary action against the priests who are candidates for election. They cite the Code of Canon Law (285-3) which forbids clerics from holding political office “if it means sharing in the exercise of civil power.” In an open letter to the Vietnamese hierarchy, several priests—including Father Nguyen Van Ly, a prominent dissident who has spent almost 15 years in prison—argue that membership in the national assembly falls into that proscribed category, since the National Assembly exists only to legitimize decisions of the Communist Party. “It is clear from Church teachings that no true Catholic can ever be a Communist, or condone Communism,” the priests add.”.
Fr. Chan Tin, a Redemptorists in Saigon, demands the three priests immediately withdraw from the election to “save the face of the Church”. “Does the Church in Vietnam have its own Canon Law or special exemptions?” he asks. “If not, then no priests can participate in such an organ of power.”
There has been a common belief among Catholics that Vietnam is copying China’s religious policies. Fr. Tu is believed to hold a very high ranking position in the National People's Congress like Bishop Michael Fu Tieshan of Beijing who had been vice-chairman of China's parliament until his death on April 20, 2007.[/COLOR]

A local source reports that the faithful still entered the church, in the belief that the celebration would not have been cancelled. But their concentration was disturbed by the installed loud speakers for the meeting between the priest and his "comrades", which was also filmed by a Tv channel Tension grew when father Tuyen came into the church to ask his parishioners to stop their recitation of the Rosary to join the meeting outside, to make it appear on TV that there was a larger participation.

But it would be a grave mistake to think that this is the reality of the Church in Vietnam, where most of the priests pay heavy prices, and are also ready to give their lives, to follow the path of holiness and zeal to serve God and their brothers and sisters . However it would also be naive to underestimate the subtle and vigorous efforts by which the security services are trying to infiltrate the Church to subvert and destroy it from within.
These efforts have had some results, there is a part of the priests who have become, to varying degrees, informers of the regime and who are doing their best to cooperate with the Party and hundreds of others - called "Linh muc Quoc doanh" (State priests) who do not see the need to hide their relationship with the regime. Having publicly linked themselves to the Party and other facilities connected to it, such as the Committee for Solidarity of Catholics, created in 1975 with the aim of establishing a Chinese-style "patriotic" Church, separate from Rome.
The " state priests" create dysfunction within the Church. Typically, the authorities move to undermine the bishop’s powers of governance to allow some of these priests a parallel management of the diocese. And in some cases, when state permits are needed, they overshadow the bishop.
Father Peter, who was chaplain in the army of South Vietnam, told AsiaNews that "in 1975, like other chaplains, I was put in prison, where t we remained for 12 years. On the day of my release, a member of the communist Party tells me: 'Go home, get married, have children'. I thought it was a joke, but it was not. For two years after my bishop did his best, but in vain, to assign me one of the jobs as they became available. " "But one day - the story continues - I was told to go find a priest who was a resident of the Popular Front. A few days later I had an assignment. And today I do not know who runs the diocese. "
'It is true - Father Andrew says - that we are facing this difficulty. " "Before the end of the Soviet bloc – he adds - there were priests who were true followers of communism. Their passion for Communism was a serious threat to the Church. But this has past. Làm cha cố mà dính giáng tới chính trị !
Đạo CG đâu cho cha cố dính dáng đến chính trị, mấy ông cha này chỉ có là cha quốc danh cha ma cha qủy ǵ đó thôi. Mang áo cà sa mà đi làm bom giết người, tôi không tin mấy ông này là cha cố ǵ đâu .............
Mấy ông cha này đúng là cha nội !
Tại v́ là mấy ông nội này thuộc hạng "cha chúa", nên đ̣i "chơi cha" và muốn chơi hết không trừ một thứ ǵ, nên dân gian có câu "trẻ không tha già không chê"; th́ chính trị cũng là một tṛ chơi của mấy cha nội này, nhất là được thêm gái, thêm tiền, thêm danh của quỷ ban cho, th́ dại ǵ không ra làm "chính chị" để mới ôm được "chính em" chứ lị !
Nên cái hạng cha này tôi gọi là "cha nội" !!!

Sài G̣n (01-05-2011) - Tin từ tổng giáo phận Sài G̣n cho biết ngày 29-04-2011 vừa qua Linh mục Phêrô Nguyễn Văn Vơ đă nhận chức chánh xứ Vườn Xoài theo bài sai chính thức của bản quyền giáo phận là Đức Hồng Y Gioan Baotixita Phạm Minh Mẫn để thay thế cho Linh mục Phêrô Phan Khắc Từ, người vừa được Đảng Cộng Sản giới thiệu ra tranh cử Đại biểu Quốc hội Việt Nam khóa 13.
Được biết, Linh mục Phan Khắc Từ, người từng là Đại biểu Hội đồng Nhân dân Thành phố trong ba khóa và Đại biểu Quốc hội các khóa 8, 9 và 10, đă được Đức Hồng Y chính thức chấp thuận cho nghỉ chức chánh xứ Vựn Xoài. Linh mục Nguyễn Văn Vơ lâu nay cũng đă tạm quyền chánh xứ Vườn Xoài trong tất cả những công việc chính thức của giáo xứ.
Quyết định kể trên của Ṭa Tổng Giám Mục Sài G̣n được cho là thích hợp trong hoàn cảnh có nhiều chỉ trích trong nước lẫn quốc tế nhằm vào Đức hồng y TGM Saig̣n đă không "thực thi quyền hành mục tử theo giáo luật" đối với những sai phạm của Linh mục Phan Khắc Từ. LM Từ bị cáo buộc có vợ và hai con cũng như các chức vụ gây tranh căi mà ông đảm nhận từ Đảng Cộng Sản VN như Phó Chủ tịch Ủy Ban Đoàn Kết Công Giáo VN (một cơ quan ngoại vi của Đảng thuộc Mặt Trận Tổ Quốc) và Tổng Biên Tập Báo Công Giáo và Dân Tộc (tờ báo của nhà nước "chăm lo" riêng mảng Công giáo được thành lập từ năm 1975). LM Từ vẫn c̣n sẽ tiếp tục tranh cử Đại biểu Quốc hội khóa 13 sắp tới. Những chức vụ đó của Linh mục Từ, vi phạm điều 285 triệt 3 của Bộ Giáo Luật Giáo Hội Công Giáo La Mă, đă tạo nên một làn sóng chỉ trích mạnh mẽ khắp nơi về việc quản trị địa phận của người đứng đầu Ṭa Tổng Giám Mục Sài G̣n, một vị trí đầy khó khăn và nhạy cảm cho bất cứ ai nắm giữ.
Giáo xứ Vườn Xoài là một trong những giáo xứ lớn nhất ở Sài G̣n, được thành lập năm 1947 và được dâng kính cho Các Thánh Tử Đạo Việt Nam.
